Gluten Free Pizza Crust-RECIPE

Made this last weekend & it was excellent! It tastes slightly different than regular pizza but it's still very tasty. Recipe also from www.liveglutenfreely.com

GLUTEN FREE PIZZA CRUST

Prep Time: 10 min
Total Time: 40 min
Makes: 6 servings

1 1/3 cups Bisquick Gluten Free mix
1/2 teaspoon Italian seasoning or dried basil
1/2 cup water
1/3 cup oil
2 eggs, beaten

Suggested Topping Quantities:
1 can (8 oz) pizza sauce
1 cup bite-size pieces favorite meat or vegetables
1 1/2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese (6 oz)

1. Heat oven to 425 F. Grease 12-inch pizza pan. Stir Bisquick mix, Italian seasoning, water, oil and eggs until well combined; spread in pan.
2. Bake 15 minutes (crust will appear cracked).
3. Spread pizza sauce over crust; top with meat & cheese.
4. Bake 10 to 15 minutes longer or until cheese is melted.

It calls for a 12 inch pan & we only had a 16 so I smeared the dough with the spatula leaving room around the edges. For my 1st pizza crust I think I did a pretty good job trying to get it fairly even.

Crust just out of the oven. The top cracked some like it said in the recipe. The next time that we make this we intend to cook the crust a bit longer. We prefer a crispier crust.

I spread my pizza sauce on & started working on my toppings. We went with salami & pepperoni this time.

Finished the toppings & sprinkled more cheese on top just for good measure!

Fresh out of the oven. Nice & golden on top just the way we like it. Yummy!!
